Why the world won't end on Dec. 21?

The End of the World hoax has always been a big hit for promoting movies, selling books and the best way to draw people's attention especially when the media feeds more information adding false theories and then people just simply buy it.

In schools a lot of students asks their teachers if its real that the world is going to end on Dec. 21. In the Church, the priests and pastors tries to remind its people to not lose their faith because only God knows when the world will end. While in the cyber world, friends chat over the internet and made a hot topic and discussion whether to believe it or not.

So, why the world will not end on Dec. 21 anyway? and how does the doomsayers predict the world will end? Is it through solar flares? will asteroids fall from the sky? or Planet Nibiru will smash our beloved earth? The answer is none of the above! Because there is not enough evidence with all these ridiculous prophecy.

The Mayans did not even say that the world will end on Dec. 21. The truth is Dec. 21 according to the Mayan Calendar is just another "Winter Solstice" or the end of the 5,200-cycle "Long Count" Calendar.

The NASA including other scientist and experts from around the world just ignore these false claims. But as this big date draws near they decided to release a video they created entitled "Why the world didn't end yesterday?" that is supposed to be released with the news items on Dec. 22.

NASA is very convinced that if ever any Solar Flares will shower the earth they would have already seen it coming, even Planet Nibiru was considered a myth since it has not been proven until now. The NASA has been monitoring the earth movement and activities for more than 5 decades now. So nothing to worry about.

This prediction written by Michel de Nostredame went viral over the past few weeks as it was associated to the Popular video Gangnam Style. The calm morning as doomsayers interpret refers to Korea which is also known as "The Land of the Morning Calm" from which Psy who is the artist on the said video originally came from. The number of zeroes was linked to the number of zeroes when the youtube count reach 1,000,000,000 views which again they assume would happen on the 21st of December. As I write this blog  right now, the current view is 947,285,381 and still counting. Could it be true that it would be the end of  the world a week from now? 

The said Apocalypse, Doomsday/End of the World  meme is on the hype around the world since the Mayans created the so called Long Calendar that ended its count on December 21 of this year.  Many has already speculated that when the time has come; it could happen that thousand of colossal asteroids or solar flares will fall from the sky and hit our house, or a polar reversal might take place and create a massive catastrophe across the world or a planet called Nibiru will come out of nowhere and collide with our planet, or let's just say it's like a very bad day that all of the above happened all at once without a warning. 

This confusing message has become more like a virus making people watch Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic Channel for tips on how to survive and be prepared for the Apocalypse which I find so absurd. What is the purpose of stocking on food and creating solar panels for electricity if your house get hit by a gigantic asteroid falling from the sky?  

One day I made a joke to a friend of mine to hurry up and give me the job he was talking to me about before the end of the world comes because I really need urgent moolah for Christmas presents aside from the fact that I am dying of boredom in this cold, dark winter season, well he just simply told me " that's only for Americans" which made me laugh because he could mean doomsday is for Americans only or only Americans believe in that crap. It is really depressing to watch news about war, politics and famine around the world and it's just gets worse as Apocalypse rumors adds up to the real doomsday we're already in.

I'm thinking spicy creole octopus recipe and my mouth is watering just to imagine the taste, but who would have thought that this sea creature posses an amazing ability to fight for its survival not to end up in a restaurant or be eaten by a barracuda? In just four months Gangnam style became the most viewed music video in the music industry,  topping the charts all over the world with the sales reaching Gold up to 2xPlatinum in the world market. Mr. Scooter Braun will not let this Korean money maker  go anywhere. just recently Psy signed under Braun's Island Record Company ( the same record label of Carly Rae Japsen and Justin Bieber) so no more ties to K-Pop but welcome to Hollywood, I just wish him goodluck about that. So, lets get to know Psy a little bit.


Psy name is derived from the word Psycho but his real name is Park Jae-Sang,  he is a 30 year old Korean from Gangnam city the same city where you can see him dancing in his music video which is the richest district in South Korea, it is a combination of Silicon Valley, Beverly Hills, Manhattan Upper East Side, Wall Street and Miami's south beach all of it found in Gangnam.

Psy is married and have twin kids , comedy is his style for his music and he has been seen cross dressing for some of his concert imitating Beyonce, Lady Gaga and other famous KPop singers.

The Beauty of a Snow Flake Up Close!

Snow has always been the symbol of winter but we really never take a good look as close as this one. I took a photo of a snow flake outside and this is how it looked like with the naked eye.

Now let's take a much closer look. Somebody took this photo and since I don't have a good camera as he got I might as well re-post this awesome photo of a snowflake too. A true beauty of nature indeed, God have an awesome detailed architecture that we never realize and it's just all around us.

Humans can Fly?

Wingsuit Flying has become famous for the extreme sports fanatic these days. The modern jumpsuit design was inspired by a flying squirrel's body. This is what makes a man think that it is possible for humans to fly too!

We all know that flying squirrels can't really fly, they glide into the air and use their flat tails to stir, the only  reason they can hang into the air for a long period of time is because their body weighs only 3 ounces. On the other hand, flying with this wingsuit can only be performed jumping or exiting in a high altitude areas such as a cliff, a paraglider, a hot air balloon or a helicopter. It requires more skill to exit a moving aircraft because of the difference from the initial wind speed it provides. A wingsuit jumper will deploy his parachute using the same altitude that sky divers follow.

World Record! Biggest Wave Ever Surfed in History

It's just another ordinary day in Nazare Portugal, where waves are gigantic and surfers from all over the world gather to experience the adrenaline rush to surf one of the country's famous monstrous waves. Here you can see Garrett McNamara (45 yrs old, and a professional extreme big wave surfer from Massachusetts)  being towed by a jet-ski using his 6 0 Brewer Tow-Board surfing the 90 ft tall watery death. Isn't that amazing?

In Japan, a girl collected eggs for breakfast from their hen farm and to her amazement one egg was ridiculously enormous it was 8.1 centimeter high and weighed 158 grams, all excited and curious they start filming the egg to open it and as a freak of nature the egg has another completely formed egg inside! So which which really came first? hmnnnnn

Amazing Earth Holes Top 3

The Kimberley Mine can be found in the Kimberley, South Africa known to be the largest open-pit and underground mine excavated by hand. It is also known as the " Big Hole " it has a surface of 17 hectares (42 acres) and is 463 meters (1,519 ft) wide.

The hole measures 240 meters deep ( 790 FT ) for the record but debris partially infilled it's depth as years go by  leaving the measure to 705 ft or 215 meters depth.

This amazing underwater hole is believed to be formed 60,000 years ago.
