My Kind of Lake!

Lake Hillier

This pink lake found in Middle Island, Western Australia is really one fabulous freak of nature. I guess a lot of women would love to visit this lake and hang out with the rest of the sorority girls during summer vacation, but sorry sisters it is strictly prohibited to even come close near this spot. The color of the water doesn't change when you put it on a container as it is proven to be permanent just like a pink lemonade kool aid drink. 

The reason why the color of the water turns to pink remains undetermined up to this day, but according to scientific studies and research there is a high probability that a green microalgae called Dunaliella Salina causes the water to turn pink. A halobacteria and the unusual high salt concentration in the water can also be one of the few factors that creates the flamboyant pink hue.

The Beauty of a Snow Flake Up Close!

Snow has always been the symbol of winter but we really never take a good look as close as this one. I took a photo of a snow flake outside and this is how it looked like with the naked eye.

Now let's take a much closer look. Somebody took this photo and since I don't have a good camera as he got I might as well re-post this awesome photo of a snowflake too. A true beauty of nature indeed, God have an awesome detailed architecture that we never realize and it's just all around us.

Amazing Earth Holes Top 3

The Kimberley Mine can be found in the Kimberley, South Africa known to be the largest open-pit and underground mine excavated by hand. It is also known as the " Big Hole " it has a surface of 17 hectares (42 acres) and is 463 meters (1,519 ft) wide.

The hole measures 240 meters deep ( 790 FT ) for the record but debris partially infilled it's depth as years go by  leaving the measure to 705 ft or 215 meters depth.
